Large amount of AI datacenters are being planned around the world to meet the recent proliferation of the use of Generative AI. These datacenter loads typically consume very large amounts of energy and have unpredictable demand profile. This presentation discusses the impact of interconnecting such loads into the power system, including their potential impacts on any nearby renewable resources. Possible mitigation measures to alleviate the adverse impacts of these loads are also discussed.
