Tom Fischetti is the vice president of Wind engineering for GE Vernova. Through its installed base of 55,000+ wind turbines, GE Vernova’s Wind segment is bringing more affordable, sustainable energy to global communities to deliver on GE Vernova’s mission to electrify while simultaneously decarbonizing the world.
Tom has spent his entire career at GE and now GE Vernova. He joined GE Gas Power in 1999, serving in roles of increasing responsibility with the systems engineering and performance engineering teams. In 2009, Tom moved to GE Renewable Energy’s Onshore Wind business, where he led engineering’s advanced technology team, systems team, and megawatt constrained team. In 2021, Tom was promoted to senior executive director of Onshore Wind engineering. He stepped into his current role as VP of Wind engineering for GE Vernova in early 2024.
Tom holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
