    Trent Zempel, CDS, Senior Director of Corporate Safety at TAKKION, is a safety leader with a foundation in mechanical engineering and secondary education. With a career spanning construction, renewable energy, manufacturing, heavy-haul transportation, and crane operations, Trent is known for driving cultural change and building resilient safety systems across high-risk industries. A former two-sport collegiate athlete, he brings the same focus and discipline to his leadership style, emphasizing teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational learning.

    Trent holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Secondary Education, blending technical insight with a passion for teaching and developing others. Outside of work, he’s a proud father of three young children—affectionately known as Thunder, Lightning, and Destruction—and stays active in his community by coaching youth sports and serving as the AWANA Commander in his community.
