Labeja is the CFO and Co-Founder of Triple Oak Power. Founded in 2020, Triple Oak develops onshore wind plus solar, battery storage and other clean energy technologies. The company’s ~8 GW domestic project pipeline spans 16 states with 41 employees nationwide. Labeja is passionate about the use of clean energy to meet rising demand for sustainable American energy supply. He is a strategic leader overseeing project financing, M&A, and project revenues and plays a driving role shaping Triple Oak’s company culture, which prioritizes diversity on all levels. Originally from Uganda, he uses Labeja as his first name in accordance with family tradition and is an embodiment of the American dream. Labeja sees his position at Triple Oak as an opportunity to add his unique voice and background to optimizing sustainable clean power development in the U.S. Labeja started his career auditing international banks at KPMG in East Africa, and then went on to become an energy investment banker with Credit Suisse on Wall Street and an M&A and project finance lead at NRG Energy. Through the course of his career he has mentored multiple people who have gone on to become leaders at prominent renewable energy developers and private equity firms. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, their children and his gravel bicycle.
