Kristin Heim Mowry is an international trade and market access attorney whose practice focuses on providing global business, investment, regulatory and government relations advice to U.S. and international clients. For over twenty-five years, she has led cases to successful outcomes for clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies to technology start-ups in complex trade disputes.
Her clients have included trade associations, major retailers, foreign manufacturers, U.S. importers and U.S. exporters subject to trade barriers abroad, as well as national and provincial foreign governments.
Ms. Mowry has achieved great success for her clients, including single digit and de minimis anti-dumping duty margins, scope exclusions, penalty reductions and major litigation wins. Through her experience in government funding of public projects, she has assisted corporate clients in successfully defending allegations of unfair subsidization and government clients in creating WTO-compliant incentive programs to grow business opportunities.
Ms. Mowry is a frequent speaker on antidumping and countervailing duty law issues. She serves on the boards of the Customs and International Trade Bar (CITBA) and the Georgetown University International Trade Law Update and as a member of CBP’s Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (COAC) on AD/CVD issues.
Ms. Mowry’s experience includes over five years of government service in both the U.S. Department of Commerce and in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, where she specialized in issues of foreign government subsidization of industry and multilateral trade policy. Ms. Mowry began her career in government after being selected to the elite Presidential Management Intern Program.
