Andrew Ferree is the Executive Chief Engineer for Wind at GE Vernova. GE Vernova’s Wind Segment is bringing more affordable, reliable energy to global communities through its fleet of 56,000+ wind turbines, helping deliver on the company’s mission of electrifying while simultaneously decarbonizing the world.
Andrew has spent his entire career at GE and now GE Vernova, joining the company in 2007 and taking roles of increasing responsibility in Wind Resource Assessment and Systems Engineering. In 2015, Andrew led the development of the 2 MW platform – the onshore wind turbine that would ultimately become the company’s most widely deployed technology – in addition to the Systems Team. He continued his career in leadership roles in Offshore Wind, Services Engineering, and Global Systems Teams. Andrew achieved the title of Chief Engineer in 2024, responsible for technical leadership for the business’s global onshore and offshore products.
Andrew holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from University of New York, Binghamton.
